SUPERVISION: A collaborative process for continuing growth and development encouraging professional reflection within a secure, confidential space.

Why do we offer supervision?

While there are many businesses and organizations worldwide that provide training in equine-assisted therapy and learning, there are few opportunities for ongoing supervision for practitioners that bridge the gap between knowledge and application.  After a decade of training others, Sue has responded to an identified need of supervision for practitioners.

What supervision provides:

  • Reflection regarding effectiveness with clients

  • Awareness of new approaches and processes

  • Identifying and avoiding conflicts of interest

  • Awareness of ethical and cultural sensitivity

  • Supporting personal development and learning

  • Offering a confidential sounding-board

  • Keeping a fresh approach within the work

How is the supervision conducted?

This is provided individually through Zoom at times that suit your time zone and work commitments. It is not necessary to subscribe to Zoom.

Sessions are one or two hours long as requested. Written guidelines are sent out beforehand to ensure that you gain the most out of your session.

What does supervision cost?

We charge according to the income you derive from your own equine-assisted work. We want to be fair, so whatever you charge your clients is what we charge you for supervision. This is agreed with you by email.

International payments are arranged according to current exchange rates.

Discounts are available when buying in bulk (3 or 5 sessions).

How can I be sure of what Sue has to offer?

Reading one of her books should ensure you of her level of knowledge and experience.

Coming from 13 years’ experience as an equine-assisted practitioner and having trained approximately 50 people in the modalities of equine-assisted therapy (EAT) and equine-assisted learning (EAL), Sue offers empathetic, confidential and informed reflection to practitioners.
